My name is Paola Pilnik and I'm a theater maker. During the making of my solo performance Ithaca in 2017 I started to dive deep into my family roots, especially my paternal grandmother's lineage.

Tales of Ithaca will be dedicated to this ongoing exploration and discoveries of my history.

Ithaca is an original solo performance about finding what "home" means through the experience of the Jewish women in my family who had to immigrate and eventually sought refuge in Brazil. It premiered in 2017 at the Electric Lodge in Venice, CA.
